In the warm and elegant setting of Lennoxlove House, Alexander McCall Smith was guest of honour at the launch of the first ever Lennoxlove Book Festival last week. In front of more than 50 journalists, sponsors and supporters, he welcomed Scotland’s latest book festival and looked forward to returning on November 13th to meet the audience. The response has been very encouraging and ticket sales are racing ahead after only 5 days on sale. Sell-outs are already being predicted. It promises to be a wonderful festival.
