Dating back to the 1340’s and originally named Lethington Tower, it was built by the Maitland family. In 1946, the 14th Duke of Hamilton and his family took residence, bringing a collection of treasures from Hamilton Palace. Throughout the years, Lennoxlove has taken on many guises: a fortified tower, military headquarters, country retreat, dower house and a family home symbolising the changing history of Scotland. Lennoxlove houses a magnificent collection of paintings, furnishings and sculptures including the death mask of Mary, Queen of Scots. This impressive reflection of Scottish history makes Lennoxlove a truly fascinating experience – a superb location for a wedding, conference, corporate event, house party or simply a great escape for a luxury weekend.
